Elopements used to mean getting married without anyone else knowing. But these days (and possibly from now on), it can mean anything you like. It doesn’t have to be a secret, it just needs to be small; an intimate or micro-wedding. Which can be just the two of you, or a small gathering of a few people.

Right now an elopement or an intimate wedding is a great way to avoid continually postponing your wedding date during this pandemic, or having to cancel your plans altogether. And although thinking of drastically downsizing their wedding celebrations can be hard thing for many couples to stomach, the reality is these small weddings or elopements can be even better than a bigger wedding!

As much as you might miss your friends and family, when it’s just the two of you, there’s no one else to worry about. It’s just the two of you, and you can fully focus on each other, your love, and the commitment you are making to one another.
